Barre vs. bars

What happens when you put a gymnast in ballet? She works on the bars. LOL!

Today was Isabel's last day of ballet and tomorrow is Lucy's last day. More pictures to follow. Isn't she hysterical. Nana will be so proud.

Just a few more pictures and videos

A few last pictures before we move onto beach pictures. The girls discovered this old radio flyer in our neighbor's garage. They've had a ball with it. Lucy is always the driver. Of course.

Isabel's first day of ballet. She only stayed in 10 minutes the first day, and then the entire class the second week. She loves ballet.

This was one of our first sunny days in July

Isabel's birthday

And the long overdue birthday pictures. We started the morning with chocolate chip banana pancakes and whipped cream. Yummy. This summer Isabel has been getting up early each morning and cooking with me. It's become our special time together. I'll miss this routine once school starts back up.

The next day we packed up the kids and invaded the Boston Children's museum. Isabel enjoyed a full day there and we learned lots of new skills such as how to potty in space. Observe Lucy's deft space pottying skills.

It's exhausting trying to keep up with these older girls!

It's great to be three!

The girls climbed all the way to the top again. This is three stories high.

We then took Isabel to the rain forest cafe with all the mechanical animals, fish aquariums, bad fried food, flashing lights, etc. Every kid's dream.

We sat next to the elephants. The would blink and occassionally turn their heads and trunks. Isabel wouldn't break eye contact with them. She couldn't decide if they were real enough to be of threat. This is me trying to convince her that they're not real elephants.

And the grand finale. A brownie, ice-cream volcano. This photo is priceless. Holy brownies!

She gave it her best.

snaggletooth

Poor Lucy's initial hysteria over her tooth popping out. No one was prepared!

Five minutes later. The proud owner of her first lost baby tooth. I remember when that tooth first cut through. *Sigh* She's growing up too fast. She wrote the tooth fairy a note and told her she was keeping the tooth to show her friends when she goes back to school. The tooth fairy was most understanding.

Saratoga children's museum

I'm running short on time so I'm just going to throw these pictures up. I'm not sure why the type is blue and underlined, but I don't have time to figure it out. Stay tuned for lost tooth and birthday pics. And to really entice you have some some cute videos of the girls riding bikes, Lucy jumping and Julia smiling.
