Gah!

I don't even know how to begin catching up. This is such a busy time of year with all the end of school activities. I'm just going to throw a few pictures a night and see if I can catch up. Here are some pics from a birthday party we went to mid-May. There was a bouncy house and snowcone machine.

Happiness is three snowcones.

Isabel's picture day

Isabel had school pictures today and was asked to wear something "Eastery" so I rummaged through the tubs of girls' clothes and found the dress that Lucy wore to Isabel's baptism years ago. Isabel loved all the flowery details and was quite pleased with herself. She told her teacher she looked like a princess and keeps asking when she can wear it again. Easter seems like a long time to wait for her.

St. Patty's Day

Here are our three little leprechauns.

Isabel asked to have her hair look like a rainbow and this is what we came up with. She was quite happy.
Our oldest leprechaun help me make rainbow cupcakes and pots of gold for dessert. Here's the eager cook.
We followed the directions exactly and they turned out perfectly. A little tedious, but well worth the effort for special occasions Here's the link. I think they'd make fun birthday cupcakes too.

The leprechauns danced some jigs while the cupcakes cooked. Isabel asked me to take a picture of her Dora.

Lucy saw Isabel getting her picture taken.
And Julia stopped and smiled at me for a nanosecond.
The fabulous results of our rainbow experiment. A colorful confection!

We paired our rainbows with a pot of gold. The leprechaun in lurking in the background patiently waiting for mom to take her pictures.
And finally, she gets to try one. Happiness is rainbow cupcakes.

We've been enjoying some unseasonably gorgeous weather so we made our first 2010 park trip yesterday. It was jam packed but I did manage to grab a few blue sky photos. The girls had so much fun, especially feeding the ducks. Julia kept chuckling every time a duck would splash.

A Beyer Saturday

Todd started our day with a little treat, sprinkled-covered doughnut holes. You can imagine the girls' faces when he unveiled these.

Julia was a big fan. She kept trying to fit the entire doughnut hole in her mouth.

Then we headed back to the art room for Lucy's art class. We arrived early and the girls played around in the open studio.
I printed Lucy's name from last week and framed it for the Beyer art studio (our enclosed front porch). It looks great so I composed a photo of Isabel's name this week to print up and frame for the room.

Here's Julia playing with the chalk. I love her chalked-covered baby fingers and chin rolls.

Afterwards we headed to our favorite restaurant, Macaroni Grill. We're big fans of their crayons and drawing on the tables. It keeps the girls occupied and beats McDonalds.

Isabel and Dad coloring on the tabletop.

Julia cleaning her face after dinner. I love the background with the older girls, Julia's leftover pasta pile and her very serious cleaning face.

And then she starts to slip into a carbohydrate coma.

I tickled her and got one last giggle out.

And then she was done.

And I looked across the table and saw this.

Such party animals.

Feet. Feet. Feet.

Left foot. Right foot.
Feet. Feet. Feet.
Oh how many feet you meet.
