The Boston invasion

So we packed the kiddos into the volvo and invaded Boston yesterday. It worked well doing it as a one day trip. A lot of driving, but staying at a hotel with the kids is just too hard at this point so we made it a day trip. We visited the children's museum which was incredible. They had the coolest climbing scape I've ever seen. This was three stories high! Lucy flipped out with excitment and Isabel was fearless.

The museum is three stories and packed with activities. We spent 4 hours there! The kids had a ball. We stopped for dim sum just before going to the museum.

Lucy said this was just like Grandpa Beyer's boat.

Afterwards we ate at a fish shack called the barking crab. I miss living on the waterfront.

And within seconds the girls were out in the car.

Lucy crashed while watching a movie.

We'll take Isabel back for her third birthday in June. We need to find a good coffee and dessert cafe to take her for a slice of birthday cake afterwards.

Wednesday was our 7 year anniversary. We got a sitter and ate out at the Brown Derby. Mom and Dad sent us a treat, and our neighbors happened to be right behind us and sent us a bottle of champagne. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere was so much fun. Good people watching.

Today we're taking the afternoon off from the girls and grabbing lunch and a matinee. I think we're going to watch Knowing or something like that. Todd's on jury duty next week so that should be interesting.
