Park pictures

It's still a little on the cool side here in Albany, but I did take the girls to the park for the first time yesterday. We tried to feed the ducks, but they weren't interested. They must have feasted yesterday with all the kids getting out of the house for the first time. Here are a few pics from the park.

We went to Anastasia and George's birthday party on Saturday. Anastasia is Lucy's BFF so it was a big day. We have three birthday parties this month. Tis the season. There was one family there that had 3 birthday parties in one week! They're marathon divison. We're haven't hit the multiple-parties-in-one-day division yet since Lucy's our oldest, but it happens once you have the full gaggle of children in elementary school. I just read Elizabeth and Brett's blog about their beautiful, relaxing weekend in Sonoma. Now it's all juice, cake and sugar crashes. And don't ever "accidently" forget the goodie bag. It doesn't work. Trust me.
Oh, and Julia rolled over for the first time yesterday. They whole family watched and cheered for her as she rolled from front to back 5 times. She does the slow head lean and roll maneuver that Lucy used to do. She's such a great baby. I guess the third time really is a charm.

Pssst...check me out

Mom's busy chasing those other two monkeys so I thought I'd get on here and show you the cozy new hat my Uncle Scott the Great(est) knitted for me. Nice, huh? I'm a lucky girl. Thanks Scott!

The Boston invasion

So we packed the kiddos into the volvo and invaded Boston yesterday. It worked well doing it as a one day trip. A lot of driving, but staying at a hotel with the kids is just too hard at this point so we made it a day trip. We visited the children's museum which was incredible. They had the coolest climbing scape I've ever seen. This was three stories high! Lucy flipped out with excitment and Isabel was fearless.

The museum is three stories and packed with activities. We spent 4 hours there! The kids had a ball. We stopped for dim sum just before going to the museum.

Lucy said this was just like Grandpa Beyer's boat.

Afterwards we ate at a fish shack called the barking crab. I miss living on the waterfront.

And within seconds the girls were out in the car.

Lucy crashed while watching a movie.

We'll take Isabel back for her third birthday in June. We need to find a good coffee and dessert cafe to take her for a slice of birthday cake afterwards.
Wednesday was our 7 year anniversary. We got a sitter and ate out at the Brown Derby. Mom and Dad sent us a treat, and our neighbors happened to be right behind us and sent us a bottle of champagne. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere was so much fun. Good people watching.
Today we're taking the afternoon off from the girls and grabbing lunch and a matinee. I think we're going to watch Knowing or something like that. Todd's on jury duty next week so that should be interesting.

More Lucy-dos and pics

I can never remember what order these pics will upload in. It annoys me about this site. Anyhoo, Auntie called and raved about Lucy's hairdos and said that she even braided her own hair afterwards so I thought I'd share a few more pics of Lucy dos. She really is so patient with me. This is her star.

This is my favorite. It's so cool, like a renaissance princess.

And this is "criss-cross apple sauce" I'm still working on my french braiding but it's a lot better. You should have seen the first attempt.

Julia watching Lucy

My latest beach/pool tote. We made this for Lucy's friend for her birthday. She's all set for swim lessons which start after spring break.

Lucy and said friend celebrating at build-a-bear. We had a fun day today at the mall. Isabel and Todd had a special day together at starbucks and the hospital.

Another pic of Julia in all her baby chubby cuteness.

And will the real princess please step forward...

As if there was any doubt...

Lucy-dos

Mom's been requesting pics of lucy's fab new hairdos. Here's one taken after school today, so it's held up pretty well. Lucy's becoming something of a hair celebrity at school.

And yes, that's my Joann's carnage in the background. Top secret stuff. Hehe.
And here's Isabel enjoying an afternoon treat. She enjoyed her first day back at gymnastics although it's amazing what a difference 10 weeks off made. She really had a hard time paying attention and behaving. Sigh. Back at square one.

I'm pressing some more delicious fabrics and will hopefully start cutting multiple pool totes and everyday totes tomorrow. My fabric supplier today really liked the bird tote and thought the size was very practical and would sell well. She thinks I need about 12 bags to open a site so I'm going to get busy on making those. I wish you lived closer Mom!

updates

So I painted the TV room a grey-blue, called Wedgewood grey, and it looks fantastic. I'm going to use chocolate browns and small punches or orange. Ta-da!

First signs of spring. Our weeping pussywillow that we planted and starting to bloom. Behold!

This is the tote that I made for mom. While I was working on it at gymnastics another lady asked to buy one. Whoo-hoo! My first customer, besides my mom, who is my most loyal customer. I sent one to Judy too. It turned out really cute.

Julia and Isabel this morning after dropping of Lucy

We're off to storytime this morning. It's Isabel's first day back since Julia's birth and she's super excited. Can you tell?

Is it spring yet?

Yikes. Somebody forgot to turn the snow off. I hope they get canned.
Did you ever wonder what would happen if you a left a 2 yo to her own devices for most of the day?
Behold. I think the vino glass is a particularly nice touch. And yes, she's watching Scarface too.

Guess who's growing and keeping me up at all unreasonable hours of the night?

Just another day at the crazy farm.
