Everything looks good

Betcha don't have a pair of these
Growing up is hard on the knees. You should see the other knee.
A rare shot of Isabel. She's hardly still long enough for pictures these days. Being two is very busy business.
I have an OB appointment tomorrow. 17 weeks. We're almost half way there! I started feeling little rolls, bumps and thumps last week. The big US will be scheduled for August. I haven't been able to get a clear feel for whether it's a boy or girl.

Ish
Ish is a children's book that we heard at a library art program about creativity and the art process. Ramon loves to draw. "Anytime. Anything. Anywhere." He draws a vase-ish and then a tree-ish. Very cute book about creativity versus exactitude. We have a deep appreciation for the ish art genre in this house. Lucy and I have been painting river rocks for her friends that the family hand selected at the five rivers this past weekend. This has been our "Isabel's nap" project of late. She's wearing her art smock (AKA dad's tee shirt) from her preschool class last year. I don't typically label my children at home...yet.Wednesday, July 16, 2008
I know what you're thinking.
Inicidently I think I've found a way to keep the bandit gang of squirrels out of our yard, entertain Lucy and her sidekick and water the lawn all at once. That's three birds with one stone.

Just hanging around...
...without a care in the world. The clouds have dispersed so we ventured to the park this morning to enjoy the blue skies. Lucy's learned that there is a good reason we evolved and left the trees. It's a lot harder than it looks.
This picture is from yesterday. I think it captures that childhood whimsy.
And at Todd's insistence I'm including what we have dubbed as the psycho bunny picture from the party last weekend. It cracks us up. She looks like she could give Glenn Close a run for her money. Let's just hope some poor schmuck doesn't cross Lucy someday.
Oh, and we made it out to the SPAC this past weekend to enjoy a NYC ballet performance. The company summers there every July, performing a different collection of dances each night. Next year we'll take the girl's to watch and picnic on the lawn. I'm thrilled that this is so close to us. I told Todd that when the kids are older (4 or 5 +) we'd get a trailer and camp up there for the summer and get season passes for the SPAC. We passed by a congregation of airstream trailers and thought of Auntie and Brett.
